Slipformer

NORDIMPIANTI slipformers are designed for the production of a variety of long-bed prestressed concrete components. They provide the right solution for companies that need a flexible approach to producing a variety of prestressed elements of different sizes.

It is an efficient and cost-effective method for producing various types of prestressed products, such as hollow core slabs, inverted I-beams, T- and I-beams, columns for vineyards and orchards, lintels, solid slabs, ribbed slabs and panels for stadium seating

Depending on the type of components produced, production can be easily adjusted by replacing a few parts and making minor adjustments to the forming insert

NORDIMPIANTI Slipformer technology is based on vibration compaction. The machine casts the part in two or three layers depending on the type and height of the part to be produced. The holes are formed by a set of forming tubes or spacers moving back and forth on the forming insert assembly.

The NORDIMPIANTI Slipformer consists of two main units: a universal drive unit and a component-specific forming insert:
The drive unit itself consists of the drive unit and the main double hopper.
The drive unit includes a hydraulic power unit, control box and control panel.
The main hopper delivers concrete to the smaller front and rear feed hoppers via an oscillating feed table, and then to the bed. On the bed, the concrete is formed into its profile and then compacted by vibrating units.
The entire drive unit can be disassembled and mounted on a different molding insert to change the production of the parts.

NORDIMPIANTI slipformers are particularly applicable to the production of prestressed panels higher than 500 mm (20 inches). Typically, formwork methods are used to produce these types of traditional elements.
Since 1987, Nordimpianti has been the only company that can offer these unique machines and technologies for the continuous and cost-effective production of these concrete elements.
These concrete elements, known as "Jumbos," are widely used in applications where hollowcore slabs must have long spans and be able to withstand heavy loads.
These special elements can be manufactured in the same production facilities that produce smaller hollowcore slabs.

The same Slipformer machine that produces hollow core slabs up to 1 m (3.3 ') high can also be used to produce inverted I-beams up to 1 m (3.3 ') high.
