In 1947 brothers David and Bruno Galetti founded an artisan metalworking workshop in Perugia.
In 1964 they designed and built the first planetary mixer P375 based on absolutely innovative mixing techniques, which soon became known on the market as the "Galletti Planetary".
In 1972, O.M.G. (Officine Meccaniche Galletti S.r.l.) was founded and invested heavily in the process line, equipping it with state-of-the-art machinery and tools. The resulting factory in Ponte Valleceppi (Perugia) was able to produce mixers of different sizes and types.
In 1992, a separate company, SICOMA S.r.l., was created, responsible for the sales of mixers abroad and for the development of production.
Through constant cooperation with Italian technical universities, SICOMA OMG's design office has developed a number of unique innovative solutions that are protected by SICOMA OMG's own patents. SICOMA OMG mixers are constantly being improved, the company is implementing the results of the latest research on the mechanics of mixing different substances.
Currently, OMG Group has a direct presence in Spain (Galletti Iberica 1988), France (OMG France 2006), China (SICOMA Zhuhai 2000), USA (Sicoma North America 2005) and India (Sicoma Mixers India 2011). Location of production is a key factor in success in China and India in particular. The mixers produced there are for local customers only.
The main production facilities are located in the region of Perugia (Ponte Valleceppi and Torgiano), covering a total area of 40,000 square meters, including 13,000 square meters under roof.
All of the company's procedures, especially those related to production, are organized through the ISO 9001 Quality Management System, certified by CERMET since 1995.
Most of the strategic components are manufactured in the factory, in 9 CNC machining centers. The factory has its own design office and laboratories whose task is to constantly control the quality of manufactured components.
